We are the Mark West Area,
working together.
GIVE LOCAL. PLAY LOCAL. BUILD OUR FUTURE.
Help Keep Mark West Area Community Park Open and Thriving
After years of rebuilding following the 2017 Tubbs Fire, our community came together to create something lasting: the Mark West Area Community Park. Our park is owned and operated by our 501(c)3 non-profit, not the County or other government entity - which means it's on us to pay the bills!
Thanks to the generosity, hard work, and determination of neighbors like you, a vision has become a reality. Children now have a place to play, families have a place to gather, and our community has a place to connect, celebrate, and grow together.
YOUR GIFT WILL HELP KEEP THE PARK OPEN
Donations to the Mark West Area Community Fund on Giving Tuesday 2026 will directly support the ongoing needs of Mark West Area Community Park, including:
🛝 Care and upkeep of the playground and facilities
🧹 Keeping the park clean, safe, and welcoming
🌳 Park operations and maintenance
🌱 Landscaping and grounds maintenance
🔧 Repairs and improvements as needs arise
❤️ Keeping this community gathering place available for our children and families
Every contribution—large or small—helps.
THIS IS OUR PARK. LET'S TAKE CARE OF IT TOGETHER.

Measure F sales tax dollars in use!
Thanks to Sonoma County voters approving Measure F in 2006 to extend a quarter-cent sales tax through 2031, Ag + Open Space has been able to fund projects like our Mark West Area Community Park. The Mark West Area Community Park has benefited from this sales tax through Ag + Open Space’s Community Space Matching Grant program. We received $1,169,500 for the acquisition of the property along with an additional $300,000 to help support design and planning, and development of basic infrastructure including ADA-compliant pathways and parking. Learn more about this important sales tax and the projects it is funding across our community!
