We are excited to announce that the playground, fitness station, park walkway are completed and passed a safety inspection! Next, the parking lot will be completed, the County will provide our operating permit and we open to the community! Thank you for your ongoing support!

Fire Chief Doug Williams Gazebo

Your support is needed to build a train themed gazebo in honor of former Fire Chief Doug Williams who passed away in 2024. Chief Williams loved community, this park project and trains - hence our dedicating our gazebo in his honor. We could use your help to fund and build this gazebo.

Measure F sales tax dollars in use!

Thanks to Sonoma County voters approving Measure F in 2006 to extend a quarter-cent sales tax through 2031, Ag + Open Space has been able to fund projects like our Mark West Area Community Park. The Mark West Area Community Park has benefited from this sales tax through Ag + Open Space’s Community Space Matching Grant program. We received $1,169,500 for the acquisition of the property along with an additional $300,000 to help support design and planning, and development of basic infrastructure including ADA-compliant pathways and parking.
